Job summary

Taurus Industrial Group, LLC is seeking an Analyzer Technician I with at least four years of training or experience to install conduit, tubing, and piping, mount stands, and install instruments in industrial environments.

You will read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications in English, and you must hold a TWIC and a valid Texas driver’s license. The role involves using power tools and equipment such as manlifts and forklifts, while ensuring safety and accuracy in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have at least four (4) years of training or experience as an Analyzer Technician I or equivalent.
• Must have skills in conduit, tubing, and piping installation.
• Must be able to mount stands and install instruments.
• Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• TWIC required.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver's License with minimal infractions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply information from work orders, job orders, specifications, blueprints, ISO drawings or similar documents.
• Identify and demonstrate safe usage of power tools appropriate for the job.
• Recognize materials used in piping systems and handle them safely.
• Select and operate equipment such as manlifts, forklifts, and company trucks as needed.
• Understand the unit's stability and the relationship between instruments, process, and analyzer.
• Check flows, pressures, and temperatures of the sample system and monitor repairs.
• Operate test equipment and perform instrument reapplications with accuracy.
• Plan and coordinate work with other technicians to complete complex sample systems.

Essential Functions

• Accurately interpret and apply information from work orders, job orders, specifications, blueprints, ISO's or other drawings. Recognize basic blueprint terms and symbols for job application.
• Identify, recognize, and demonstrate safe usage of power tools appropriate for the job.
• Recognize various materials used in piping systems and demonstrate a working knowledge of appropriate material handling techniques.
• Select and safely use appropriate equipment which may include (but not limited to) manlifts, forklifts, and company trucks.
• Demonstrate understanding of unit's stability as it pertains to the relationship between the instruments, process and analyzer.
• Demonstrate basic understanding of mechanical and process systems.
• Demonstrate ability to check flows, pressures, and temperatures of the sample system.
• Demonstrate ability to safely monitor a repair sample system.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill required to accurately operate on various types of test equipment available on sites.
• Demonstrate skill in instrument reapplications.
• Demonstrate ability to design and construct complex sample systems including wiring, conduit, etc.
• Demonstrate knowledge of all codes, standards, application manuals, and publications.
• Demonstrate planning capabilities in coordinating work with other technicians.

Physical Demands

• Required working in: Climbing, bending, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• The ability to work in elevated positions is a must.
• The employee must be able to work in confined spaces as well as wear the following safety equipment when need be life vests, ear protection, rubber gloves, leather gloves, hard hat, slicker suit, acid suit, rubber gloves, full face breathing mask, wearing full safety harness, or wearing a face shield.
• The employee must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Being near moving mechanical equipment.
• Possible electrical shock. (From welding equipment)
• Exposure to burns and radiant energy.
• Noise levels due to tools used in this craft.
• Fumes, dusts, and foreign material in the work area because of the nature of the work.
