Job summary

Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, WY, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to sterilize and organize equipment across departments. A base salary starts at $17.30/hr.

You will ensure proper cleaning, handling, and distribution of sterile instruments while maintaining high standards of service. The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and CS certification within 18 months of hire, or you must be a certified sterile processing technician.

• Excellent customer service skills, including a friendly personality and professional attitude.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff and the general public, verbally and in writing.
• Strong organization and time management, with ability to set priorities.
• Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position.

Responsibilities

• Sterilizes and decontaminates equipment and supplies for all departments.
• Organizes equipment and supplies as appropriate.
• Uses inventory lists and preference cards to distribute sterile instruments and supplies.
• Identifies potential problems with equipment and communicates repair needs.
• Documents sterilization processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

E X P E R I E N C E

• Previous sterile procedure experience preferred.

• Must obtain CS certification within 18 months of hire or must be a certified sterile processing technician.
