Northside Hospital is seeking an Instrument Technician to disinfect, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. The role requires recognizing standard surgical instruments and trays used in the applicable area.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of Instrument Technician experience. Preferred certifications include CSPDT/CRCST as applicable to central service work.

Disinfects, sterilizes, and assembles surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. Position is characterized by the ability to recognize surgical instruments and surgical instrument trays typically assembled in applicable area.

REQUIRED

1. High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
2. One (1) year experience as an Instrument Technician

PREFERRED

1. Central Service Technician Certification:
   1. Inpatient sterile processing CRCST or CSPDT certification.
   2. Outpatient sterile processing CRCST, CSPDT or CASSPT certification.
   3. For GI Labs, CFER is acceptable.
2. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
