Job summary

Illumina in the Bay Area is seeking a Software Test Engineer II to support instrument manufacturing and NPI software for sequencing platforms. You will perform hands-on system testing, troubleshoot software and hardware interfaces, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, software eng or related field.
3+ years in software test, QA, or related role.
Experience with functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
Ability to own feature- or subsystem-level verification.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing floor support and troubleshoot software and system issues.
Create and implement ECO changes to product and processes.
Lead projects to resolve trending manufacturing issues.
Develop test strategies, plans, and cases from requirements.
Execute functional, integration, system, and regression tests on software features and integrations.
