Instrument Fitters - $125 Per Diem - Up to $38/hr - Houston, TX
Instrument Fitters are needed by Aerotek for a long-term project in Houston, Texas. These professionals will install, fabricate, and maintain instrumentation and piping systems supporting advanced launch and test environments. The ideal candidate is experienced in tube bending, reading technical documentation, and working with high-pressure systems in a modern, state-of-the-art facility.

What You’ll Need
- 2+ years of experience in tube bending, hand bending, and customizing pipes
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, datasheets, manuals, and P&IDs
- Hands-on experience with tube bending equipment and knowledge of benders such as Swagelok, Ridgid, and Parker
- Ability to apply offset formulas and bending calculations
- Experience with instrumentation and electrical systems in an industrial or technical environment
- Proficiency using hand tools and test instruments for fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work with various sizes of pipes and valves in medium and high pressure systems
- Experience working with thermocouples and other instrumentation sensors
- Ability to use computers or tablets to access documentation and record work
- Experience in oil and gas or pharmaceutical environments, or similar process industry experience
- Understanding of piping and instrumentation design concepts and P&ID-based workflows
- Ability to perform integration testing and verify proper operation of installed systems
