Job summary

INEOS Aromatics in the United States seeks an Instrument & Electrical Engineer (Aromatics) to provide I&E engineering support to maintain and improve instrumentation, electrical, and control systems at the Cooper River plant.

This highly autonomous role within the Engineering Group leads multi‑discipline projects, drives reliability improvements, troubleshoots field equipment, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards while delivering quality design, programming, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 5+ years of I&E experience in manufacturing.
Experience designing/engineering instrumentation, PLC specs and programming, power distribution, and process analyzers.
Ability to interface with operations and maintenance teams for reliable plant performance.

Responsibilities

Provide I&E engineering support to maintain and improve instrument, electrical, and control infrastructure at the plant.
Lead and/or support multi‑discipline project teams aligned with site objectives (I&E scope).
Drive reliability improvements and support maintenance/repairs of electrical equipment and power distribution systems (up to 34.5 kV).
Deliver I&E design, PLC programming, and guidance; manage contractors and project deliverables.
Ensure compliance with standards and maintain I&E documentation and training.
