Job summary

S&B seeks an Instrument/Electrical Designer to work with minimal supervision and deliver drafting and design for projects in a versatile EPC environment.

The role requires transitioning knowledge to advanced design concepts, with an emphasis on accuracy, adherence to industry standards, and the ability to support field assignments as needed. A strong drafting background is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with vocational/technical training in basic drafting technology (or equivalent working knowledge/experience).
• Or a 2-year degree in drafting/design technology with related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare moderately-difficult to difficult engineering and construction drawings using manual and computer-assisted drafting/design techniques.
• Perform discipline design tasks applying fundamental engineering concepts and mathematical formulas.
• Review manufacturers' and fabricators' prints for contract conformance.
• Perform routine checking and verification tasks.
• Support field assignments as required.
