Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in instrumentation or electrical technology.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and P&ID’s.
  • Experience programming/troubleshooting robotic systems.

Instrument Control Technician - Aerospace Components - Day Shift

Primary Purpose

Provide technical support for manufacturing operations, engineering, and maintenance. Responsibilities include startup, modification, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial automated equipment, following safe work procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, relay-controlled and PLC-based.
  • Set-up, calibrate, and troubleshoot analog and discrete instrumentation.
  • Update and modify PLC programs, HMI interfaces, SCADA systems, PC software, firmware, etc.
  • Build, implement, modify, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems based on specifications, schematics, P&ID’s, and BOMs.
  • Reverse engineer machine control systems for troubleshooting.
  • Assist maintenance and facilities teams with breakdowns, mechanical installs, and general troubleshooting.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Oregon Electrical Contractor License (Limited Building Maintenance Electrician or higher).
  • Associate or technical degree/certificate in control systems, instrumentation, or related electronic tech, or five+ years of experience in instrumentation or electrical technology.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley products, RSLogix, Studio5000, RSView, RSLinx, ABB VFDs, motor controls, control panels, and automated machinery.
  • Experience with various instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, analytical) and switches.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, P&ID’s, loop diagrams.
  • Experience with safety systems and safe control methods.
  • Proficiency with Windows and MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience programming/troubleshooting robotic systems (Fanuc).
  • Pneumatic, hydraulic, RFID, SCADA, network troubleshooting experience.
  • Industry experience in metals manufacturing.
Work Conditions
  • Exposure to dust, dirt, heat, cold, noise, vibration.
  • Require hearing and eye protection.
  • Work may involve disagreeable conditions and elements.
Schedule
  • Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
