Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant professional or equivalent experience.
- Strong software engineering skills in Python and experience building production or research software.
- Hands-on experience interfacing software with scientific instruments and data acquisition hardware.
Responsibilities
- Build Python interfaces for lab equipment and instruments.
- Develop applications for instrument control, data acquisition, real-time visualization, and monitoring.
- Design reliable software for synchronized, high-throughput acquisition from multiple instruments and data streams.
- Build data ingestion/conversion pipelines for large scientific datasets and ensure metadata consistency.
- Collaborate with scientists to translate workflows into robust software.
- Maintain and improve existing laboratory software and instrument interfaces.
