Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline required.
• 10+ years software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in C#/.NET and Python.
• Strong experience with real-time or embedded systems and hardware-software integration.
• Experience with hardware systems such as robotics, optical systems, environmental sensors, or motion control.
• Strong proficiency with Linux environments.
• Understanding of software architecture, design principles, and best practices.
• Experience in instrument control software, user interfaces, and system-level integrations.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Ability to drive complex technical projects from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver instrument control software spanning multiple subsystems.
• Drive technical design and implement high-risk areas independently.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and systems teams for robust integration.
• Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues; address technical debt.
• Lead design and code reviews; contribute hands-on development in C#/.NET.
• Influence system architecture and mentor engineers to raise engineering standards.
