Data Management Services, Inc. (dba: DMS International) seeks an Armorer/Ordnance-Based Maintenance and Logistics Specialist II at Camp Lejeune, NC. You will perform maintenance on a variety of crew-served weapons and manage ammunition in accordance with Navy directives.

The role requires US citizenship, an associate degree or equivalent military experience, and hands-on weapons maintenance expertise. You will document procedures, ensure safety, and support training facilities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Armorer Duties and Responsibilities: Perform training support duties for small arms and crew-served weapons training. Maintain small arms, weapons, weapon mounts, Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS), marking cartridge adapter kits, and Small Arms Weapons Simulators (SAWS). Tasks include detailed disassembly and assembly, cleaning, inspection, lubrication, gaging, troubleshooting, repair, modification, and documentation of maintenance in electronic service records. Receive, segregate, store, issue, inventory, sub-custody transfer, and sentence ammunition and explosives (AE); conduct motor vehicle inspections; certify Hazard Class 1 materials for transportation; handle, process, store and transport range-related debris and MPPEH. Account for AE in official records including requisition, issue, receipt, expenditure, and disposition via computer-based applications. Read and understand technical manuals and drawings; identify, requisition, and manage inventories of repair parts, tools, and consumables; and develop SAWS courses of fire. The duties and attributes include:

Armorer/Ordnance-Based Maintenance and Logistics Specialist II must:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Possess an Associate’s degree and three (3) years of experience; or four (4) total years of military experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum three (3) years of preventative/corrective weapons maintenance experience (including military crew-served weapons) and at least two (2) years in an ammunition and weapons management environment
• Satisfy the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968
• Completed U.S. military armorer courses preferred (CENSECFOR EOLM Armorers’ course, NSW EOLM Armorers’ course, NECC EOLM Armorers’ course)
• Preferred U.S. Navy course completions/certifications: AMMO 49, AMMO 51, AMMO Technical Specialist, AMMO Administration, Fleet Sentencing, OIS-R, TAMIS, MPPEH
• Familiarity with Firearms Training Systems (FATS) simulator preferred
• Must meet mandatory medical, psychological, and drug screening evaluations
• Knowledge of night vision, lasers, weapons, and weapon sight technologies
• Three years of preventative/corrective small arms maintenance with two years in ammo/weapons management
• Ability to troubleshoot complex malfunctions; skilled with hand tools, test equipment, and precision measuring devices
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, illustrations, specifications, and diagrams
• Basic computer operations for inventory control and record keeping
• Active state driver’s license; Class B or C CDL with HAZMAT endorsement to transport ammunition (as required)
