TSTC faculty deliver approved curriculum, content, and assessments in an applied learning environment. Responsibilities include facilitation of activities and discussions that engage a range of learning styles, targeted guidance and mentorship to students, interpretation and administration of assessments, and offering constructive feedback to support student growth and learning outcomes. A key part of the role is integrating technology effectively to enrich the educational experience. Faculty act as ambassadors for their programs and TSTC, demonstrating TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and community members.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver high‑quality instruction and facilitate the learning of students
- Develop appropriate course syllabi and instructional plans, and organize daily classes using creative and innovative techniques
- Maintain accurate student records and an instructional environment that emphasizes safety and equipment security
- Provide student advisement, offering timely, accurate, and comprehensive information to support retention and placement
- Participate in recruitment events, assist in department/program planning, and promote the college
- Demonstrate teamwork, service, and willingness to be of service toward students, parents, employers, media, coworkers, and the public
- Apply teaching skills across diverse learning styles and needs, mentor and coach students, assess and give feedback, and continually improve teaching strategies
- Integrate technology to enhance learning experiences, including SCADA systems, PLCs and wind turbine circuit components
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a closely related field and demonstrated qualifications in the technology’s teaching discipline
- Verifiable professional or academic experience may be accepted in lieu of other requirements, as approved by the Vice Chancellor who oversees academic programs
- Strong knowledge of wind technology, electrical systems, and related instrumentation
- Ability to explain and demonstrate fundamental electrical principles, wind turbine components, and related concepts
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the college
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Certifications or Licenses
- Fundamentals of direct current and related circuits, Ohm's law, and circuit analysis techniques
- Wind farm design strategies, safety at height, basic fluid operation, and fluid power schematics
- Fundamentals of alternating current, series and parallel AC components
- Working knowledge of digital electronics, logic gates and numbering systems
- Wind turbine components and systems, SCADA systems, and PLCs
- Application of motors, controllers, and sensors in wind turbine circuits, troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems, and rigging
- OSHA 10 general industry training (or above)
- Wind Turbine PLC programming and maintenance, torquing and tensioning
- Working knowledge of electricity production and transmission from turbine to grid
- Knowledge of solar production and industrial battery storage experience
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Certifications or Licenses
- Implementation of Kirchhoff’s laws, Faraday’s Law and Joule’s law
- Experience with industrial battery storage
- Knowledge of wind turbine maintenance and solar production systems
