Day Program Assistant - Monday through Friday

NO EVENINGS, WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS!

Lifesteps is expanding services in Butler County and has an immediate need for several Day Program Aides or Assistants in Butler, PA.

Lifesteps is a non-profit organization serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years, helping individuals and families with life's changing needs. The agency provides programs for those with special needs to live to their fullest potential. If you desire to help others and serve the community, consider this opportunity.

Position Summary

Enjoy your work while bringing joy to program participants! The Day Program Aide / Instructor assists adults with activities like community outings, daily living skills, crafts, celebrations, and classroom cleaning. Staff observe, assist, and report on participants' progress, maintaining a safe environment. The assistant also transports participants for community activities during the day.

Part-time Hours

Monday through Friday, 9 am to 2 pm

Qualifications
Required:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel using an agency vehicle
  • Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) (provided by Lifesteps)
  • First aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within six months (provided by Lifesteps)
Preferred:
  • One-year experience in human services (e.g., direct care, home health aide)
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in relevant fields
  • Certifications like ACRE or CESP
