Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is seeking part-time faculty to teach college parallel psychology courses. Instructors may teach at MATC campuses, business, community sites, or online during day, evening, or weekend sessions.
The role involves curriculum development, program evaluation, and collaboration with the advisory committee, with responsibilities across department and college functions. Start date: Fall 2026.
Under the Supervision of the Associate Dean or designee, to teach college parallel psychology courses and other related courses as assigned. May require teaching courses at MATC campuses, business, community, other sites, and online during the day, evening, and/or weekend. Related duties include participation in department and advisory meetings, department and college functions, course and curriculum development in both traditional and non-traditional formats.

Start Date: This position supports the General Education Pathway and is available to start during the fall 2026 semester.
Hours: This is a part-time faculty pool position. This is an 'applicant pool' posting. Assignments are temporary, not guaranteed, can vary in hours/days, and will depend entirely on course availability and department needs each semester. All work must be performed in the state of Wisconsin; we do not have virtual opportunities for out of state residents. We are seeking candidates with flexibility to teach assignments to include any combination of the following:
Salary: The starting hourly wage for all part-time faculty is $40 per course hour of teaching. Part-time faculty are also compensated for an additional 45 minutes of time for each hour of instruction to cover office hours and prep time which is equivalent to $70 per hour. This starting hourly wage of $40 an hour is non‑negotiable.
Interview: As part of the interview process, selected candidates are required to prepare and present an interactive theory lesson and simulated teaching demonstration lasting 10 minutes of the overall interview time, which may be conducted in‑person or virtually.
