Job summary

Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) is hiring a Prosthetist/Orthotist for a full-time faculty position in the Houston Medical Office. The role is part of a lean digital-first office in partnership with Ottobock Patient Care, within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

The position emphasizes patient care leadership, education, and collaboration across BCM and Texas Children’s Hospital teams, with opportunities for clinical, education, and research growth.

Qualifications

• Leadership/Management experience in leading an O&P practice is preferred.
• Master’s Degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics or a relevant master’s paired with national certification is required.
• Formal Educational Training in Orthotics and Prosthetics and certification by the American Board for Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a full patient load with high-quality care.
• Provide leadership/mentorship to peers, residents, and students.
• Participate in growth planning and educational sessions with physicians and staff.
• Support mission areas of Clinical Care, Education and Research.
• Represent BCM values within and outside the Baylor community.
• Assist in staff planning and resource management in the Houston office.
