Lifetime Activities Santa Clara is seeking a passionate Tennis Private Lesson Specialist to deliver high-quality, personalized coaching for players of all ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate brings PTR/RSPA certification and at least 4 years of teaching experience, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• RSPA / PTR Certified Professional.
• Minimum 4 years teaching/player development experience.
• Municipal program experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to retain and attract students of all ages.
• Strong on-court presence with modern fundamentals.
• Punctual, professional and positive with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to connect to a diverse range of ages and levels.
• Safety-minded with a focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and semi-private tennis lessons tailored to individual goals and skill levels.
• Develop customized lesson plans focusing on technique, footwork, strategy, and match play.
• Assess player performance and track progress over time.
• Deliver a high-energy, positive, and professional coaching experience.
• Build relationships with clients to encourage retention and referrals.
• Maintain a safe and organized court environment.
• Assist with clinics, camps, and special events as needed.
• Stay current on coaching techniques, trends, and best practices.
• Help occasionally with Park & Rec youth and adult lessons.

Position Overview:

Lifetime Activities Santa Clara is seeking a passionate and experienced Tennis Private Lesson Specialist to deliver high-quality, personalized coaching experience to players of all ages and skill levels. This role focuses on one-on-one and small group coaching, emphasizing skill development, strategy, and an engaging, results-driven experience for clients. The ideal candidate brings both technical expertise and a refined, client-focused approach—someone who can build lasting relationships while delivering measurable results on court.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide private and semi-private tennis lessons tailored to individual player goals and skill levels
• Develop customized lesson plans focusing on technique, footwork, strategy, and match play
• Assess player performance and track progress over time
• Deliver a high-energy, positive, and professional coaching experience
• Build strong relationships with clients to encourage retention and referrals
• Maintain a safe and organized court environment
• Assist with clinics, camps, and special events as needed
• Stay current on coaching techniques, trends, and best practices
• Help occasionally with Park & Rec youth and adult lessons

NOTE: This position requires submission to a consumer investigative report, as permitted by law. Applicants are also subject to a health screening, following a conditional offer of employment.

Schedule:

• Weekdays 8am- 2pm or 3pm - 9pm
• 15 - 20 hours/week

**Schedule and number of hours assigned are subject to change according to the needs of the business and can vary seasonally or session by session.**

Pay Range:

P&R range: $29.30 - $42/hr
