Job summary

University of Wisconsin–La Crosse seeks instructors for Murphy Library to join an ongoing pool of lecturers. The positions involve teaching information literacy across disciplines, focusing on one-shot instruction and related library services to support student learning and scholarly growth.

Instructors will work under department supervision, participate in teaching one or more courses, and may engage in curriculum and service projects within the library.

Qualifications

Job Duties:

Each department at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse maintains an ongoing search to serve as a pool of potential instructors for program needs. If hired from this pool, the instructor will be under the general supervision of chair. The instructor provides a variety of library services to graduate and undergraduates in the areas of teaching, learning, and public services to support creative exploration, intellectual growth, and scholarly pursuits. This position will be focused on teachingone-shotinformation literacy classes across various disciplines and other projects related to support information literacy instruction within the library department.

As a staff member, you will help provide many services and access to information resources that support and promote excellence in academic study and research, success in teaching and learning, and intellectual and cultural exploration. Murphy Library additionally serves the greater community as a regional information center.
