The College of Liberal Arts, School of Psychological Science invites applications for one or more fixed term, non-tenure-track full/part-time Instructor positions on a term-by-term basis for the 2026-2027 academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Director. As part of the College of Liberal Arts, the School of Psychological Science provides psychological expertise to the university and to the state of Oregon. We do this by engaging in cutting-edge research and by training undergraduate and graduate students in the science of psychology. With more than 800 majors, Psychology is one of the largest undergraduate majors at OSU. The School offers BA and BS degrees, a minor, and a PhD degree.

The faculty includes tenure-track members and instructors with areas of specialization that include Psychobiology, Cognitive Psychology, Health Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Engineering Psychology, and Clinical Psychology.

Oregon State is a leading research university located in one of the safest, smartest, greenest, most environmentally responsible small cities in the nation. We are located in Corvallis, situated 90 miles south of Portland, and an hour from the Cascades or the Pacific Coast in the heart of Western Oregon's Willamette Valley. Founded in 1868, Oregon State is the state's Land Grant University and is one of only two universities in the U.S. to have Sea Grant, Space Grant and Sun Grant designations.
