The School of Korean at Middlebury College is pleased to announcevacancies for adjunct faculty positions of Korean graduate program.The positions are available one of four terms, Summer1, Fall,Spring, and Summer 2, of Master of Arts degree program in Korean.Summer sessions will be in beautiful Middlebury College campus inMiddlebury, Vermont and both semesters are in hybrid format. Ourunique MA in Korean includes courses focusing on KoreanPedagogy.
We welcome candidates with the following characteristics:Experience teaching graduate level courses in KFL (Korean as aForeign Language), Linguistics, or Applied Linguistics such asStructure of Korean for Teachers, Pedagogical Grammar, LanguageAnalysis, and Teaching Languages Online. The new hire willcontribute to developing synchronous and asynchronous curriculumfor the courses and will be expected to collaborate with languageinstructors.
In addition to the salary, lodging and a complete meal plan will beprovided, if the program is in-person. We will announce thedecision on either in-person or virtual program early 2022.
The successful candidate should possess a Ph.D. in the field,record of research in KFL, a true commitment to student learningand demonstrated success working as a member of an instructionalteam. ABDs will be considered under certain circumstances.
