Position Overview

The Raj Soin College of Business invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position at the Instructor/Lecturer level. Successful candidates should be committed to growing the programs, excellence in teaching, service to the student and university, professional growth, research, and scholarship. This position will be expected to actively participate in and support accreditation processes and participate in the development of new courses and programs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in accounting. Candidate should bring a passion for accounting, and enthusiasm to teaching our undergraduate and MBA students. Candidates will be expected perform practice-oriented or scholarly research, pursue professional activities such as certifications and industry engagement, and perform service within the university and the greater community. The candidate will be responsible for courses in our Accountancy and MBA programs, as well as developing and managing curriculum in the Accounting and MBA programs.

Preferred Qualities

The Raj Soin College of Business is nationally accredited (AACSB) and offers a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Financial Services, General Business, Human Resource Management, Management, MIS, Marketing and Supply Chain Management; Master's Degrees in Business Administration, Information Systems, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Marketing Analytics and Insights, and Social and Applied Economics.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in accountancy or closely related field anticipated by the start date.
  • Must meet the AACSB classification of Practice Academic, Scholarly Practitioner, or Instructional Practitioner.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to candidates who hold a master's from an AACSB accredited institution.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution.
  • Knowledge of AI in Accounting discipline.
  • Real-world expertise in relevant areas of business will be considered. Preference will be given to faculty with teaching, consulting, defense, or corporate experience in accounting.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as the CPA will be considered.
  • At least 2 years teaching in Higher Education at the Instructor level or equivalent.
