JOB SUMMARY
DEFINITION:Nurse Educators are responsible for communicating class content to students so that learning occurs, skills are developed, and students are motivated to continue to learn and to achieve their educational objectives, in the classroom and in a hybrid distance learning environment. With daily supervision provided by the Nurse Administrator, all Nurse Educators will be responsible to report to the Nurse Administrator.
Nurse Educators in the Practical Nursing program can be called upon to teach a variety of programs. The focus of the Practical Nursing program will depend upon the program and the term that is being taught.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a valid, unencumbered OSBN license are required. Additionally, at least three years of related work experience are required.
Expectations:Nurse Educators must be accessible to students via email, phone, and Microsoft Teams. Nurse Educators must log into and/or engage with their courses and students within the Learning Management System (LMS), five of seven days each week. In addition, Nurse Educators must respond to each student’s questions and/or initial responses in a substantive, timely, and personalized manner (email/canvass within 24 business hours, discussion posts within 5 business days).
