Job summary

Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking an Instructor - Early Childhood (Education) to supervise and instruct preschool students, fostering development in language, self-help, motor, social, emotional, cognitive, and sensory skills.

The role includes directing the Instructor Assistant, maintaining a safe, conducive learning environment, traveling to homes and ECE locations to meet family needs, and preparing records and progress data for evaluations and IEP revisions.

Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities

Instructor - Early Childhood (Education)

Supervises and instructs preschool age students in order to provide basic skill development in the following areas: language and communication, self-help, fine and gross motor, social, emotional, cognitive, and sensory.

Provides direction for the Instructor Assistant. Maintains a classroom environment which is conducive for learning and free of health and safety hazards. Travels to homes and other ECE locations to accommodate needs for families, children, and ECE.

Prepares and maintains written records and reports as required on, but not limited to, student attendance, assessments, program objectives and progress data for regular evaluations and for revision of IEPs for students.
