Instructor, Community Recreation (Metro): Module 4 - Aquatics

Department: Athletics, Wellness & Recreation
Location: Metropolitan Campus
Reports To: Community Recreation Coord
Recruitment Type: External/Internal
Employment Type: Part-Time Faculty
Union Position: Non-Union
Work Schedule: Hours depend on program needs; days, evenings, and weekends may be required, flexibility is necessary.

Summary

Module 4: Aquatics Delivers swimming instruction to individuals and groups of all ages in a community center setting, emphasizing water safety, fundamental swim skills, and stroke development. Designs engaging lessons that build confidence and encourage lifelong aquatic proficiency. Maintains a safe learning environment by adhering to facility protocols and emergency procedures.

Must hold current certifications in the following:

  • Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification through the American Red Cross or equivalent

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Certifications/licenses, as applicable by discipline

Special Note: Set-Rate Non-Bargaining Part-Time Position: This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $30.30/ hour.

If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure .
