Job summary

Paradigmworks Group Inc is seeking a full-time instructor to teach the Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) program for students aged 17-24. The role covers EKG, phlebotomy, medical terminology, and credentialing test preparation, with emphasis on HIPAA compliance and professional patient care.

In-person instruction Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, in Hartford. The ideal candidate will be credentialed in a medical field, college or trade school graduate, and have CMA and classroom teaching

Qualifications

• Must be credentialed in a medical field.
• College or trade school graduate.
• CMA experience and classroom teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach the CMA program to students aged 17-24.
• Prepare students for credentialing tests and real-world clinical experiences.
• Incorporate HIPAA policies and patient-care ethics into the curriculum.
• Develop students' technical and organizational skills, including case noting and scheduling.

Job description

Paradigmworks Group Inc is seeking a full-time instructor to teach Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) program to students aged 17-24. Curriculum includes EKG, phlebotomy, medical terminology, and more. Prepare students for credentialling tests and for the types of experiences that they might encounter working in the wellness field. Work with them on developing strong technical and organizational skills, as well as, case-noting, scheduling appointments, handling insurance claims. Teach the importance of following HIPAA laws, using discretion, and treating all patients, family members, providers, medical staff, and guests with respect. Must be professional, highly organized, willing to go the extra mile to ensure students learn. Able to explain complex ideas, integrate math and reading into the curriculum. Credentialed in a medical field. College or trade school graduate. CMA experience and previous classroom experience.
