Salary Grade: The salary range for 10‑month teaching positions is $46,781 – $52,940, determined by the collective bargaining agreement and educational level.

Summary
The primary responsibilities of the faculty are to teach and to develop the curriculum.
Qualifications
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Biology or a professional medical doctorate (MD, DDS, DO, DVM), or a master’s degree in a recognized biological or medical sub‑field.
- Adjunct faculty must also meet these requirements.
- Minimum three years of research experience in a laboratory and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology (or related field) for Biotechnology Instructor positions.
- Familiarity with current laboratory equipment and troubleshooting of protein and DNA/RNA protocols.
- Experience with college‑level or K‑12 students is a plus.
- Knowledge of educational pedagogy, course management systems (e.g., Blackboard), Microsoft Office suite, and discipline‑specific technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties
- Teach and develop curriculum.
- Create and deliver learning experiences that support students in achieving the learning outcomes outlined in the Master Course Syllabus.
- Employ engaging and effective teaching methods.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to promote academic success.
- Cultivate a classroom environment that reflects the college’s mission, values, and goals.
- Participate in program and discipline activities related to curriculum development and implementation.
- Contribute to program reviews and strategic planning, offering recommendations on curriculum, staffing, facilities, and equipment.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to deepen expertise and keep instructional strategies current.
- Effectively integrate educational technology tools into teaching.
- Participate in department, division, campus, and college meetings and committees to support institutional goals.
- Maintain weekly office hours as required by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
- Perform other duties as outlined in the CBA.
