Job summary

College of Southern Nevada invites applications for a Master’s-level biology instructor to teach BIOL 189, BIOL 190, and organismal biology courses across multiple campuses. You will design syllabi, craft course materials, and implement effective instructional strategies that meet discipline standards.

You will assess student mastery, participate in program assessment and curricular development, and collaborate in department and college activities.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science degree in a biological science from an accredited College or University.
  • One year of experience teaching organismal biology at the college level.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work effectively with State and Federal resource management agencies.
  • Ability to teach transferable, entry-level lectures and laboratories for specified biology and organismal biology courses.
  • Ability to teach on multiple campuses during the day or evening hours.
  • Required resume/CV, cover letter, three professional references, and unofficial academic transcripts.
  • U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.; CSN does not sponsor H-1B visas absent exceptional circumstances.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check if required.
  • Ability to perform job-related tasks if required.
