Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) seeks educators to join our mission-driven team. You will develop and teach Anatomy and Physiology for transfer, advise students, and collaborate with 4-year partners to ensure successful program transitions.

You will contribute to curriculum development, uphold professional standards, support assessment of student learning outcomes, and participate in distance learning initiatives within a supportive, inclusive campus culture.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Anatomy and Physiology or related field with 18 graduate credits in A&P coursework (Anatomy, Physiology, Histology, Immunology, Virology) from an accredited college or university.
• Three years post-secondary teaching experience in Anatomy & Physiology courses.
• Doctoral degree in Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, or related field with 18 graduate credits in A&P coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach Anatomy and Physiology courses designed for transfer.
• Advise students and collaborate with 4-year partners to ensure transferability of courses.
• Develop and prepare curriculum for Anatomy and Physiology (Biology) courses.
• Model employability skills and maintain professionalism in instructional activities.
• Support college administrative requirements and maintain competency in instructional field.
• Participate in quality instruction and service to the college community.

Job description

Experience Required

• Three years post-secondary teaching experience in Anatomy & Physiology courses.

Teaching faculty at Guilford Technical Community College are responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, developing curriculum courses, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty and staff, supporting college administrative requirements, and maintaining competency in their instructional field. He/she will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the college

Under general supervision, this individual will develop, prepare and teach Anatomy and Physiology (Biology) courses designed for transfer and support of career technical programs. Faculty will also be responsible for advising students and collaborating with 4-year educational partners to ensure transferability of courses.
