Job summary

Waldo County Technical Center is seeking a Career & Technical Education Instructor to teach high school students the fundamentals of small engine repair, diesel technology, equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and shop safety through hands-on learning.

The role requires five years of diesel mechanics or related field experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work with high school students. Maine CTE certification or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

We are seeking a motivated Career & Technical Education (CTE) Instructor to teach high school students the fundamentals of small engine repair, diesel technology, equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and shop safety through hands-on, real-world learning.

Qualifications

• Five years of recent experience in diesel mechanics, small engine repair, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, or a related field preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively with high school students.
• Teaching experience is welcome but not required. Individuals with industry experience who are eligible for Maine CTE teacher certification are encouraged to apply.
• Maine CTE certification or eligibility to obtain certification is required.
