Job summary

Louisiana State University Eunice invites applications for an Instructor in Radiologic Technology. The position supports didactic and clinical/laboratory instruction in alignment with ASRT content specifications and ARRT requirements.

Qualifications

  • ARRT credential with unrestricted state license in Radiologic Technology (LA).
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience working with students preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Didactic and clinical/laboratory instruction (40%).
  • Evaluate student performance in lectures and clinical courses.
  • Develop assessments for program outcomes and course SLOs.
  • Develop course outlines, clinical schedules, and experiences.
  • Academic advising of students.
  • Participate in committees and university meetings.

Instructor Position

Type: Faculty Department: LSUE AA - HSBT - Radiologic Technology (Angie Sonnier (Retired - Active) (00011824))

Work Location: LSU - Eunice Pay Grade: Academic

Radiologic Technology faculty are responsible for conducting assigned formal classroom teaching consistent with ASRT curriculum and ARRT content specifications. Faculty are also responsible for academic advising of students, clinical/laboratory instruction, cooperatively developing course outlines and clinical experiences to implement the curriculum design, evaluating student performance in lecture and clinical/laboratory courses, review and analysis of program data and outcomes, student learning outcomes, and retention in accordance with the University's policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities
  • 40%– Didactic and clinical/laboratory instruction
  • 25%– Evaluate student performance in lecture and clinical courses. Record evaluations using mycourses and Trajecsys.
  • 10%– Develop, implement, and conduct assessments on program and course student learning outcomes.
  • 10%– Develop course outlines, clinical schedules and clinical experiences to implement the curriculum design and any tasks assigned by the Director of Radiologic Technology.
  • 10%– Academic advising of students.
  • 5%– Participate in program, divisional, and University committees and meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University
  • 2 years clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree
  • 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Experience working with students

Certificates/Licenses: Credentialed in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Unrestricted state license in Radiologic Technology for the state of Louisiana.

Salary: $45,000.00-$48,000.00
