Job summary

Austin Peay State University in Clarksville invites applications for a faculty position in criminal justice. The successful candidate will teach four to five courses per semester at graduate and undergraduate levels, advise majors, and contribute to service on department, college, and university committees.

Strong preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. in criminal justice or criminology or equivalent; multiple master’s degrees with law experience; and the ability to teach law-focused CJ

Qualifications

Faculty may teach during the summer semesters for additional compensation (subject to performance and availability)

Required Qualifications:

One of the following: Ph.D. in criminal justice or criminology, a J.D., a Master’s degree in law/legal studies, or a Master’s degree in criminal justice with significant experience in courts/law.

A background search will be required of the successful applicant.

Desired Qualifications

An ability to teach a wide range of law-focused criminal justice courses

Experience teaching across a variety of delivery methods (online, hybrid, face-to-face, etc.)
