Job description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

Teach four to five courses (graduate and undergraduate level) per academic semester as assigned by the chair

Provide service, including, but not limited to, departmental, college, and/or university committee work

Faculty may teach during the summer semesters for additional compensation (subject to performance and availability)

Required Qualifications:

One of the following: Ph.D. in criminal justice or criminology, a J.D., a Master’s degree in law/legal studies, or a Master’s degree in criminal justice with significant experience in courts/law.

A background search will be required of the successful applicant.

Desired Qualifications

An ability to teach a wide range of law-focused criminal justice courses

Experience teaching across a variety of delivery methods (online, hybrid, face-to-face, etc.)
