Neuma Consulting LLC seeks an Instructional Designer to maintain and update existing analyst training materials within established templates and standards. You will collaborate with SMEs to revise lessons, assessments, and media, ensuring accuracy and alignment with mission goals.

Instructional Systems Designer Program: Advanced analyst training platform (MIAAP) — computer-based training (CBT) development cell The Opportunity As an Instructional Designer, you know that even the best training can’t have an impact if its content falls out of date. Keeping courses that teach critical information and tradecraft current, accurate, and effective requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your customer. We have an opportunity for an Instructional Designer who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges in national security by sustaining effective training. The position sits on a small three-person team managing a series of established analyst training courses. The main thing to know is that this role isn’t about creating courses from scratch. The client needs someone to support the maintenance and updates of existing courses, keeping content current, accurate, and effective. This is a course development role, with no instructional delivery requirement. On our team, you’ll work with SMEs to identify where existing courseware needs revision, whether that’s changes in tradecraft, policy, tools, or learner needs, and translate those changes into updated training material following the ADDIE model. Putting the learner at the center of the training experience, you’ll revise lessons, assessments, and performance support tools so they stay aligned with the mission. You’ll use your technical skills and attention to detail to update interactive computer-based training, refreshing content, interactions, and media while keeping courses consistent and engaging. You know communication is key, so you’ll meet with SMEs throughout the process to validate content and incorporate feedback. To make sure the courses keep hitting the mark, you’ll help collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model, then use what you find to prioritize and refine updates. You’ll work to the team’s established standards, templates, and quality bar, collaborating closely with the senior designer and supporting client discussions on course update priorities. This is a chance to grow your skills in training methodologies while keeping mission-critical analyst training sharp.
