Job summary

Swingtech is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer to craft engaging, instructionally sound learning products and to coordinate the development and delivery of client training courses. The role supports remote work with possible travel to Baltimore, MD, and requires ADDIE-based design, SME collaboration, and LMS/SCORM integration.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in instructional design, strong facilitation skills, and familiarity with SCORM-compliant tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise,

Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher in instructional design or related field, or military equivalent experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience applying instructional design methodologies to online training solutions.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Apply ADDIE and performance-based ISD processes to create high-quality web-based and streaming training.
Create course design documents from job/task/user analysis.
Design instructional materials and develop end-user and facilitator content.
Incorporate SME input into clearly written materials and adjust content as needed.

Swingtech is currently looking for an Instructional Systems Designer to design innovative learning products that are instructionally sound and accurate and that engagingly convey content. The ISD will be expected to coordinate the development and delivery of all client training courses. This position will have local remote work options with possible travel to customer site in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities include those listed below.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employ the ADDIE Model and performance-based lean ISD processes to produce high-quality web-based and streaming training solutions
Create course design documents based on job task and user analysis
Design instructional materials
Develop end-user and facilitator training materials
Develop content incorporating subject matter expert (SME) input into clearly written and structured materials
Provide input for modifications to course content and activities
Utilize multimedia, instructional technology, and authoring tools to create classroom training and eLearning content
Ensure training products comply with applicable guidance and regulations (SCORM, FISMA, Sections 508 and 504, style guides, etc.)
Suggest and assist with implementing new instructional technology for efficient and effective training delivery
Communicate and work directly with the client in support of design and development efforts
Work effectively as part of dynamic team that includes SMEs, graphic designers, course developers, and technical writers to provide deliverables
Present at workshops and training events as needed
Other duties as assigned based on business needs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/MA in Instructional Design, Instructional Systems Technology, Education, or related field - or - other degree plus equivalent experience (e.g., education, training and experience as a military instructor).
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in instructional design, project management, and training and development
Demonstrated ability to apply instructional design methodology to create effective online training solutions
Demonstrate excellent facilitation, presentation and organizational skills
Knowledge of adult learning theories and ability to incorporate them into class design and delivery
Ability to solve problems in enterprising and proactive ways
Proficiency in Shareable Content Object Reference Module (SCORM) integration with Learning Management Systems such as Moodle, SumTotal, or Blackboard
Knowledge of Section 508 of the Disabilities Act and Section 508 compliance
Experience with Articulate Storyline and Rise
Collaborative and team-oriented
Proactive, self-driven, and able to work well in any environment while meeting deliverable deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication
Prior experience in the health care industry or on Medicare & Medicaid related courses is a plus
Experience with using artificial intelligence to improve task efficiency is a plus
