Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Designer to join a training development team supporting a government client. The selected candidate will help design, develop, and modernize training for military organizations in support of Cloud-Based Command and Control, ensuring that course content is engaging, mission-relevant, instructionally sound, and aligned with client expectations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus six+ years of related experience; or Master's with four+ years; PhD with none.
U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
Experience designing training for adult learners.
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and update training materials aligned with system design updates.
Apply ADDIE, SAM, or similar models to create effective learning solutions.
Translate complex information into clear objectives, lessons, and assessments.
Develop instructor-led, blended, scenario-based, and interactive learning experiences.
Collaborate with SMEs, instructors, and stakeholders to produce training products.
Support pilots, classroom observations, and learner evaluations.
Ensure materials are accurate and suitable for a classified environment.
