Job summary

Chi-Chack LLC is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer to design, develop, and update training materials for U.S. Coast Guard engagements. The role focuses on applying adult learning theory and ADDIE to curriculum development, with strong PowerPoint skills and collaboration with SMEs.

The position supports five existing courses and new modules on cybersecurity, UAV awareness, and insider threat, while ensuring 508 compliance and clear performance objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise applying adult learning theory and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, PADDIE+M).
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, including action buttons, hyperlinks, and advanced formatting.
• Experience developing curriculum documents, instructor guides, and student materials.

Responsibilities

• Review, update, and enhance existing courses on ISPS Code, Port Facility Security Plans, and Cybersecurity.
• Develop new courses and training modules using ADDIE, including Cybersecurity Risk Management and UAV Awareness.
• Embed interactive elements in PowerPoint presentations to provide quick-reference links to ISPS Code.
• Create engaging icebreakers, group activities, instructor guides, and student syllabi.
• Write clear, measurable Terminal Performance and Enabling Objectives for curricula.
• Coordinate with US Coast Guard SMEs and provide weekly status updates and Monthly Activity Reports.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with Section 508 requirements.
