Job summary

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) invites applications for an Instructional Support Technician I to support the Nursing Learning Center. The role coordinates scheduling, inventory, and purchasing, and serves as the simulation technician for all activities within the School of Nursing.

Responsibilities include assisting faculty with simulations, maintaining AV and lab equipment, and supervising work-study students to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience providing instructional support or related services.
• Experience in setting up and operating patient simulators (in person & computer-based).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, or Information Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primary scheduler for SON rooms using an interactive calendar system.
• Assist Learning Center Director with daily operations and student tracking systems.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and inventory for the Learning Center; inspect AV gear regularly.
• Assist faculty with setup and operation of simulators and scenarios.
• Supervise Learning Center work-study students under direction of the Director.
• Monitor rooms and labs for equipment function, safety, and cleanliness.
