Job summary

Caminonuevo in Wisconsin is seeking an Instructional Support staffer to assist teachers by delivering instructional activities, supporting students individually or in small groups, and helping prepare and manage classroom tasks.

The role includes supervising students in lunch, bus, and play areas, maintaining a neat computer lab, troubleshooting routine computer issues, and assisting with inventory and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
• Assist teachers and students in use of computers, printers, and instructional software.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
• Maintain computer lab in a neat and orderly manner including bulletin boards and displays.
• Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
• Manage student behavior in the computer lab.
• Identify problems, troubleshoot and resolve routine problems, and arrange for maintenance and repair of computer equipment when needed.
• Install a variety of computer programs following complex written instructions.
• Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
• Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Job description

Primary Purpose:
