Job summary

Bastrop Independent School District is seeking a Paraprofessional+ to provide instructional support under the supervision of a certified teacher. You will assist with classroom activities, instructional materials, and student progress.

The role includes supervising students, helping maintain records, and supporting teachers with assessments and reports. Texas certification and classroom experience preferred; a valid aide certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Associate’s degree or two years of college coursework preferred.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate is required.
• 30 to 59 college credit hours preferred for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher.
• Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities.
• Support instruction for individual students or small groups.
• Help teachers prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests and work assignments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and help with equipment inventory and maintenance.
