Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal academic assessment met, associate’s degree, or two years of college study preferred.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate required.
• 30–59 college credits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional assistance to students under the supervision of a certified teacher.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or assignments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teachers keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Supervise students during the school day, including lunchroom, bus, and playground duties.
• Follow district safety protocols and confidentiality requirements.
• Participate in staff development and faculty activities.
