Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate required.
• Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours preferred.
• Meet formal academic assessment as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of a certified teacher.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and assist with equipment.
• Prepare required reports and assist substitutes as needed.
• Supervise students during the school day, lunch, bus and playground.
• Follow district safety protocols and maintain confidentiality.
• Participate in staff development and meetings.
