Job summary

Mesquite ISD is seeking a Paraprofessional - Campus/ Instructional Assistant to support teachers in in-school supervision, obtain daily assignments, and help students complete tasks under the guidance of a certified teacher.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and a Texas Educational Aide Certificate (Educational Aide III). Aide experience and PC literacy are preferred; this is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Principal.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Texas Educational Aide Certificate (Educational Aide III) required.
• Experience as an aide/teacher support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify and report student daily attendance.
• Acquire daily assignments from teacher.
• Assist individual students to complete teacher assignments.
• Provide assistance to students for completion of teacher prepared assignments.
• Maintain discipline and support non-instructional functions.
• Escort and supervise students to and from the cafeteria.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
