Job summary

Nassau BOCES is seeking a Supervisor II to support the Instructional Software Service. Responsibilities include managing databases for purchasing instructional software, providing email and phone support to districts, and coordinating with vendors on purchasing agreements.

The ideal candidate holds NYSED SDL/SDA certification, has strong managerial and communication skills, and experience with instructional technology, plus administrative and teaching experience.

Qualifications

• New York State Education Department Certification: SDL or SDA.
• Experience with instructional technology and applications.
• Administrative experience and at least three years of teaching experience.
• Ability to travel within New York State.

Responsibilities

• Use databases to manage the purchasing of instructional software by school districts.
• Provide email and phone support to component school districts and building administrators, teachers and clerical staff.
• Identify and manage instructional software purchases by school districts.
• Oversee the planning of marketing events and user groups with vendors.
• Arrange and attend instructional software events.
• Work with various vendors on purchasing agreements.
• Coordinate use of state-wide purchasing agreements.
• Coordinate with BOCES representatives from other BOCES throughout New York State.
