Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two years of college completed.
• Texas educational aide certificate or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing, math, science and social studies instruction.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and the public.
• Ability to manage student behavior and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of a certified teacher.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and work assignments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom environment.
• Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Prepare administrative records and reports; orient substitute teachers.
• Supervise students during the school day in various settings.
