Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college hours required.
• Experience teaching or tutoring desirable.
• Knowledge of math, science, English/LA, or social studies concepts for the target age/grade.
• Ability to manage materials and equipment.
• Effective communication with students, teachers, and staff.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Requires positive interaction with others and promoting a quality program.

Responsibilities

• Plans with the classroom teacher to provide instructional activities for identified at-risk students.
• Administers diagnostic instruments to determine skill needs and progress for individual or small groups.
• Prepares, organizes, and manages materials and equipment per daily lesson plans.
• Reinforces skills for identified at-risk students, including dyslexia learners.
• Assists with integration of technology into the curriculum and delivery of instructional software.
• Maintains student records of identified at-risk students.
• Performs other duties to support success for identified at-risk students as assigned.
