Corpus Christi Independent School District seeks a Secondary SCE Paraprofessional III to support teachers in planning and conducting instructional activities for identified at-risk students.

The paraprofessional assists with managing materials and equipment, integrates technology into lessons, and maintains student records, under supervision of principal and teachers. This 187-day role begins with a minimum $14.30 per hour, with pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Minimum of 60 college hours.
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Manage materials and equipment; communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents; work cooperatively with others; promote a quality program.
• Experience Preferred: Tutoring/computer experience.
• Personal Qualifications: Relates positively to others; cooperative and tactful; reliable, productive, adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Plans with classroom teachers to provide ongoing instructional activities for identified at-risk students.
• Administers diagnostic and evaluative instruments to determine skill needs and progress for identified at-risk students.
• Prepares, organizes, and manages materials and equipment for daily lesson plans.
• Reinforces skills previously presented by teachers with individuals or groups of at-risk students.
• Assists with integration of technology into the curriculum.
• Maintains records of identified at-risk students.
• Maintains a daily working schedule as determined by teachers and paraprofessional.
• Performs other duties pertaining to identified at risk students as assigned.
