Job summary

Adams Elementary, part of Omaha Public Schools, seeks an Instructional Paraprofessional to support classroom teachers and assist with instructional activities. The role involves data collection, monitoring student progress, and providing flexible support under supervision.

Work August through May when students are in session. Starting rate is $19.10 per hour with a full-time schedule; strong confidentiality, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's degree or 48 semester hours (or 72 quarter hours) or demonstrated instructional proficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Physical ability to perform a full day of activity.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teacher(s) and instructional staff.
• Monitor student progress and collect data for records.
• Assist with arrival/dismissal and supervise lunch/recess.
• Grade/ review homework as directed by teachers.
• Use educational technology and software to aid learning.
• Maintain professional rapport with staff and students.
• Organize materials and schedules; follow guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
