Job summary

Omaha Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Instructional Paraprofessional to support classroom teachers and help monitor student progress. This role is essential for maintaining instructional momentum and data-driven progress tracking.

As an Instructional Paraprofessional, you will work August through May with students, assist with instruction, and help collect data while upholding confidentiality and collaborating with a diverse student body.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or completion of 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours, or demonstrated proficiency via competency test.
• Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, balance, stoop, climb steps and reach overhead.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce learning for individuals or small groups under certified staff guidance.
• Model appropriate behaviors for students.
• Develop and maintain professional rapport with classroom teachers and staff.
