Job summary

Ro Health, LLC is hiring an Instructional Paraeducator to support students with behavioral needs in Monrovia USD for the 24-25 school year. Position may involve 1:1 or general classroom support, accompanying students in classes to help them stay on task and progress toward behavioral goals.

Responsibilities include assisting teachers, collaborating with staff, and maintaining calm, clear communication with students and adults.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 semester units completed.
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
• Strong assessment skills.
• Passion for supporting students in the learning process.
• Inclination to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing support in either 1:1 or general classroom capacity.
• Go to each class with your student to provide behavioral and educational support.
• Ensure the student is on task and working toward behavioral goals.
• Support wherever needed by the teacher; may work with several students daily.
• Maintain calm, clear communication with children and adults.
• Assist with activities requiring standing, walking, or lifting up to 40 pounds.

Our providers are assigned to cases as either 1:1 supports, or as a general classroom aide.

You would be going to each class with your student to provide behavioral and educational support throughout the day. 1:1 supporters are responsible to ensure their student is on task and working towards their behavioral goals.

Providers who are assigned to work with a single teacher or classroom. In this role, providers will support wherever they are needed most by the teacher. Typically every day looks different in this position, and you may be working with several different students throughout your day.
