Job summary

National Training Network (NTN) seeks an Instructional Math Coach for the Northeast region (26-27 SY), based in Brooklyn, NY. This full-time role collaborates with teachers, school leaders, and district staff to bring NTN’s proven math coaching methodologies to classrooms and drive measurable student outcomes.

You’ll model standards-based lessons, lead professional development sessions, mentor teachers, analyze classroom data, and provide actionable feedback.

Qualifications

• Certified educator with 5+ years of math teaching experience (3+ in the classroom).
• Current teaching license is required.
• Strong knowledge of Common Core State Standards - Mathematics (K-12) and Standards for Mathematical Practice.

What You’ll Do

• Model best practices through engaging math lesson demonstrations
• Lead interactive, standards-based training sessions rooted in NTN methodology
• Coach and mentor teachers to improve classroom instruction and student outcomes
• Collaborate with school and district leaders to align efforts and meet professional development goals
• Analyze classroom data and help teachers plan purposeful, standards-aligned instruction
• Provide actionable feedback and complete regular reports on coaching impact
• Stay current with trends in mathematics education and contribute to continuous program improvement

What We’re Looking For

• Certified educator with at least 5 years of math teaching experience (3+ consecutive years in the classroom)
• Current Teaching License
• Strong knowledge of Common Core State Standards - Mathematics (K-12) and Standards for Mathematical Practice (or your state specific process and content standards)
• Skilled in mentoring, instructional coaching, and classroom observation
• Mastery-level content knowledge and the ability to inspire and support educators
• Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
• Proficient in planning, feedback, and data analysis
• Familiarity with NTN’s Key Elements to Mathematics Success curriculum is a plus
