Montgomery Public Schools seeks a School Improvement Specialist to assist in the supervision and evaluation of teachers and actively participate in planning and development in assigned areas of responsibility. The role demands strong instructional leadership and collaboration with school leaders.

The position emphasizes classroom observations, modeling lessons, data analysis, and providing professional development to staff, with a focus on aligning curriculum and improving student outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification, Master’s Degree or higher, with an endorsement in educational administration K-12.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience as an English teacher.

Responsabilités

• Visits schools to observe classrooms on a regular basis to ensure consistency in instruction and recommends effective instructional strategies.
• Models lessons in classroom situations for observation by teachers.
• Analyzes and interprets achievement data and works with lead teachers and administrative staff to design activities to raise student achievement.
• Conducts in-service training for instructional staff on instructional strategies and best practices.
• Serves as a resource to the school’s administrative staff regarding instruction and the needs of students.
• Acts as liaison between teachers, school administrators, and the central administration on curriculum and instruction.
• Provides leadership in the development, implementation and revision of curriculum and curriculum guides.
• Conducts regular meetings with lead teachers to ensure curriculum alignment under the direction of the supervisor.
