The University of Tampa invites applications for a non-tenure-track, full-time, renewable Biology teaching position beginning in August 2027. The Department of Biology in the College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa invites applications for a non-tenure-track, full-time, renewable position beginning in August 2027.

This position will have primary teaching responsibilities in Introductory Biology for science majors (e.g., General Biology I and II lecture and lab), science for non-majors lecture courses, and potentially other courses as assigned by the department chair.

Each candidate will be expected to teach 27 contact hours throughout the Fall and Spring semesters.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications: a master's degree or higher in biology or a closely related field. Prior teaching experience with undergraduates is desirable. Prior service in an undergraduate biology department is preferred. A personal commitment to quality undergraduate teaching, advising, and service to the Department and University is essential.
